Replacement panels and spring cups are available!

Post by Nimminz » 22 Apr 2012 10:37 pm

Off a browse on ebay spotted this place that does replacement sills, door skins, scuttle panel repair sections and spring cups for 300's

Pretty sure spring cups are very sourght after and have no manufacturer that still makes them

Looks good but I believe our Mac has been set up as the supplier for Klokkenholm who actually makes those parts, and he'll be able to supply more reliably and for less money :)

Since i can only manage to sell a cup for £12 .00 I suggest you get a whole load of them at £21.36 each.

Everybody wins - you spend more, and I needn't bother to tie my money up in stock :D :D :D :D

Tell me why I bother ?

This is getting lively! So - before my humour get me in any more trouble and I am crushed beneath a thousand orders for breepking glide plegs I'd better confirm a few points.

Matt, the site you found is the e-bay presence of "Imperial Crash Repair Parts" one time customers, and now owners of the now dead "Hadrian Panels" All of the 300 stuff that was stocked by Hadrian is made by "Klokkerholm" in northern Denmark and initially it seemed that after takeover Imperial would no longer carry this range. It seems that this was premature (although we are still not sure if Imperial is just clearing stocks).

At the time when it seemed that a resource would be lost (and a number of spring cups were urgently needed) I contacted Klokkerholm directly and secured contact with their importer. I have since purchased a stock of cups which I can supply (at my increasingly ludicrous) "at cost only" price of £12.00 + P&P (admittedly I bought in qty. to preserve supply but with Imperial charging almost double this you get the idea of their markup). I have considered buying in other parts, but as you can imagine considerable costs can be involved and I cannot justify investing large sums of money when I have chosen to make no return.

I have an agreement with the importer that I can buy in small quantities or indeed singletons, given certain conditions (that my requirements are tagged on to the importers fortnightly stock order and it can take upto a month for me to receive) But I am happy to investigate the supply of any Klokkerholm panel and to get a price for the same but I DO NOT HOLD STOCKS (except of course for the spring cups).

At present, as you know, the parts supply for our little angels is fragile at best - things are afoot to improve the situation and I among others am looking at a "one stop shop" to bring together various suppliers, to simplify purchasing from RJ, myself, Dai, etc. and provide information on sourcing parts we do not make/stock. Please remember though I do this because I want to, not to make a profit, and it all takes time. ( believe it not I do have other things going on in my life - and I can't spend 24/7 on 300s)

Hmmm, I like your idea RJ - whip with any parts eh!- I must look at introducing "The Madame Lash" range of accessories - a fetish suit from GLT seat covers, or handcuff perhaps, from h/brake cables - Dai could make poly ball gags even !

Oooooooh - well I did say I do have other interests!
