I have seen some pics where all wheels were listed nicely, but now I can't find one, care to point me towards correct direction? Thanks :)

I think so, yes, I mean I have been searching with various terms at two different days and came up with nothing, thx from these.

Any bigger are more straight head on pics? Need to model them for Volvo in game you see.

And oooh, there is nice pics of stereos here:
http://www.volvo300mania.com/pictures/access89_8bis.jpg

Would love to see that in bigger size, at least 4 times larger, but if one stereo fills whole monitor that is not too big either :)

Fuse has those nice wheels in his car, does those wheels have a name?

I remember there was some other brochure too, I think it has named wheels, like columbo or something, my head works so poorly that I really don't remember anything anymore.

I have one modeller working on car and hopefully soon there is some more changes coming, with improvements in new game engine graphics need to be completely redone to have it decent looks, 2nd modeller was interested doing wheels so I'm looking some resources for him to work with, will be interesting to see what it will eventually be.

First I make v360Cup cars though as guy who is building Zolder track is also modelling car to me and they kinda go nicely with each other, track and those race cars.

There is a catalogue with the wheels named, it was posted by Iain Hutchinson on the VOC a few years ago, the links to it don't work any more.

Volvo wheels are all after stars/constellations I believe (I don't do stars, so don't shoot me if wrong!) I can start you on the first ones...
Top row, Pollux
Second Row, Leo, Hercules (third is a hub cap, not an alloy, from late cars (my '91MY had them)
Third Row, No idea of actual name but seem to be known as "LucLucs" from a member of the French boards car, Again no idea of name but we generally call them Special Edition alloys as they were always fitted to different SE's, third is a steel again

The first time I saw those wheels named was on a finnish (?) catalogue, Aukki posted here once:
http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... 93&p=74992

The links don't work anymore unfortunately, and I don't seem to have saved the brochure :-(

I tend to think of the "special edition alloys"as "redline alloys" although they were fitted to bluelines, and many other special editions too ...

"MK2 GLT" wheels which I havea also on my car are usually called "Leos".

I don't have that particular catalogue as a paper version. Here's a one scan of "Leo" wheel from a Finnish catalogue, but it's tilted...

Some links to wheel pics here too, but when registering creative question seems to be bit difficult with translator :p

For some reason none of internet archives can't locate file either, usually at least some tiny version can be found when one has just filename. I don't think that I have file saved, but I do some searching, but going trough several terabytes of data takes some time from search function...

Thx Fuse, I found more Leo pics from this board, Leo refurb topic, I think that Leo's are then quite well covered.

Nice steering wheel pics in that brochure, will be handy :)

Actually I did recently leech every image from that site of yours for references, it was easier to give one command to download all than download one by one, but was bit of work to delete non Volvo stuff of course, still no plugin that actually could recognize what is in photo

15MB on its way to Chris and macplaxton.

MkIII GLT wheels? "Columbia". Now we know ... This catalogue is the reason we've been calling those 14" MkII GLT alloys "Leos" too. I do wonder whether that wasn't just some Finnish Volvo marketing chap who invented those names though, I've never come across them anywhere else (except "Pollux" maybe).

Cheers

Tom

Pollux and Vega are definitely named in lots of 400 brochures. Maybe this brochure was a later one and there was a company line to name all wheels a that point?

My new mailbox holds only 3MB total, but at least Google is not spying on that one or anyone else in that matter as it is bit better encrypted and outside of EU/US spyfriendly legislation.

Could brochure be uploaded to V3M brochure collection or to technical section as it might be useful for someone else in future too :p
