So, got my hands on this beauty a few weeks ago

Image

Volvo 340 shell
Koni adjustables
Fully pollybushed
Custom prop
Welded diff
Honda prelude 4 puck clutch
Laguna 215 mm lightened flywheel
Techniclutch custom pressure plate
Volvo 440 turbo 1.7 lump bored and stroked to about 2.0
Heavily worked head
Renault internals
360 roller bearing turbo
Front mount hidden behind hole sawed bumper
Cossie brown injectors
Vauxhall calibre throttle body
Omex 500 ecu with hard cut rev limiter
Blitz ESBC boost controller
Scooby fuel pump
Boost gauge and inlet temp hidden in the dash
AFR display integrated into the dash
13" x 8 banded steels
350mm suade dished steering wheel and boss

Apparently running 220bhp on low boost (a dyno session soon to confirm this and hopefully tweak the map slightly)

This was built by ian ball at power engineering, so has all been done properly and should last well!

Shell is solid with just a few bubbles here and there

Was flat as hell and pink when i picked it up, and the alternator died on way home. Whilst waiting on delivery of the new alternator i gave it a freshen up

Gonna run it as is to retro rides this sunday, then ill fit the 2" lowering blocks and drop the front a bit more too. Also im gonna start tidying up the bay, stock some tyres, and get a full stainless system custom made as the shit thats on there atm is rotten and knocks like mad.

Time for some burnouts ;)

Cheers guys

Its good fun in the dry, and a nightmare in the wet!

The tax runs out end of the month, im going to take it off the road and sort out the little rust issues, purchase some poly engine mounts, fit my anti tramp kit, new clutch ect ect

Could also do with an in-car tank and swirl pot. It runs out of fuel going round corners when its low. Not what i need when its primarily for sliding around

Did you get it from Ian? I wondered what had happened to the car a while back, glad it still exists. I had a passenger ride in it not longer after it was first built (~2005 ish?), was a nicely done conversion.

Saw this at RRG, recognised the plate as have too had a passenger ride, went rather well back then and I believe it's had some upgrades since :D

Thanks guys!

I bought it from a friend of mine, who bought it from ian 18 months ago.

In 2005 i believe it would of been a 1700t not the 2000cc it is today.

I will be in touch soon dai, with a shopping list of all the parts i may require ;)

Uncovered a few shit bodges that need sorting, also, the 4 paddle needs a re-plate and the pressure plate is shit too. Caught it just before it lunched the flywheel. Result!

I jet washed it all this morning ready for a strip down Monday. Whilst it was in the air I took a load of pictures and measurements of the exhaust so I can start ordering the stainless straights and bends for the system
