Right then guys, my car is looking like it's on stilts at the moment, being on 13's and (still) not lowered
I've got some 14" lotus rims on the way, so will probably be swapping the Ultralites for those, but i want to see your cars with various degrees of lowness.
So if you have a 1"-2"-3" or more drop i want to see pics so i can decide how low to actualy go.
There are quite a few speedbumps near me but if i'm carefull a knock up a sump guard i should be ok,
So lets see them please, here is mine on it's stilts
Shocking arch gap
These are the Lotus wheels (anyone skilled with Photoshop?

)
The ones i'm getting are as the top pic with different dish, the bottom one for ease of PS
Cheers peeps

Yep, not bad thanks, re Wed that will be fine.
I know i just bunged them on as bought from a Mini owner, back ones are getting bald anyway so may have a play with differrent profiles etc.
15's with 2" drop looks good mate.

What size are GLT rims, 13 or 14?
Is there actualy any suspension travel with a 3" drop?
I'm not a fan of tucked and stretched tyres, i quite like big old school ones, maybe i'm just uncool
As soon as i decide i'll be giving you a ring Dai to order some bits.

Those ones on it in that pic were 14's I'm pretty sure I had 185/60 14's on it then. Stretched tyres is a bad idea in the normal sense. But squeezing a 195 width onto a 4" wide rim is actualy quite good.
Skinny tyres on a norrow rim can actualy peel off with hard cornering! I've known it to happen.

So do you have any travel with a 3" drop?
These old volvo's are funny, even lowered quite a lot they just don't look particularily low, like my other car for example.
It's a bit lower than this now aswell, i just haven't got any upto date pics of it.

I think Magnupi's Volvo looks just fine, arches of these cars are designed so that there will be gap. To make gap go away and to make car look lower one should process arches a bit so that top of wheel well becomes lower.
Some cars are made so that when suspension is bottomed out tire goes into wheel well, but in these cars that is not possible to very great extend and that makes illusion of car looking higher than it really is. I guess beetle has some of same.

Cheers mate, you wouldn't want the associated rust that comes with it though lol.
More pics of it here:

Need to get the rust sorted, so i can go out boy racer baiting again
Re wheels, like mentioned i think bigger tyres would help no doubt, but i'll see what the 14's look like when they are on it, thats if they fit!!

thats bugs eh?
rust as standard.
Also as many many added extras.
Does it come with heater channels?
Weeeeeeeeeell, sort of.
Are you sure Lotus rims are even 4x100 man?
All the ones Ive found have been nowhere near.............................................................
But im often very, very wrong.
Edit* Just read through the RR thread for for the Poshrec.
Gobsmacked.
What a killer man. If it wasnt mostly made of brown flaky pain, id bow down to it and worship it as a god.

I've been assured they are in 4x100 flavour, as oppossed to most Lotus's Loti? which have a different pcd altogether, they were cheap enough anyway so can always knock them on for a profit.
It didn't have channels but they have been sorted, it's just the arch that needs sorting, well at least for the MOT, obviously there is other rust but gladly none of it is structural.
It's quite a beast only a 1776cc with twin 40's but i've spent more than i care to mention on the motor, it will however outrun my mates UK spec de catted Impreza Turbo up to 60mph so its good enough for me. I can get the needle touching back on the zero and its still got more to go but it's somewhat scary as fook at those speeds
