5th owner - family owned (original owner 82 yrs old when she passed away - then went to son, then went to daughter and then a family friend 2 yrs ago.

I met him through an agency job, he's moving back to Argentina so sold the car to me. Made a nice change to see a saloon. 66k miles and full service history including original sale invoice, it was a demo car and they part ex'd it for their 1979 Rover 2.8. I say FSH but there is a book detailing EVERYTHING that the car has had. Written by the original owner between 1987-2003 going into so much detail as to mention which garage, which mechanic, what they did and even who gave them a lift to go collect it etc. I'm very impressed!!

Comes with usual early GLT spec, leccy front windows, heated seats, fogs, econometer, manual mirrors, rear windows and sunroof, no PAS.

both rear doors have bad dents and heavy scratches but i'm sure they could look alot less imposing with abit of a tap and some t-cut. Interior light has the black switch missing, drivers side seat tilt rotory handle has snapped but still turns. reverse light bulb needs replacing, front fog bulb, boot lock surround is abit loose but doesnt fall out, bubbling on rear wheel arches and needs a new air filter.

Besides that its lovely. Alot better than I thought it was going to be. If I get my way it should be lowered and I'm undecided about welding the diff, makes drifting alot easier but maybe it's cuz i'm new to it all. I say its a trampdrifter but its guna stay fully trimmed and left alone a fair amount. Partly cuz its a nice example but also because its just an inbetween car with some low key mods til I save up for the car I really want.

A good machine polish, wet wipes, spruce up the wheels and find an FM radio and I'll be happy! haha

Opinions?

I went to bed after that - cant handle these late nites lol

Will get more pics today - really wanna clean it 2nite and give it a machine polish at the weekend.

When the right wheels come along, i'll change em - atm I've got 4 v.legal tyres and just want a bit of damp to see how easy it'll break traction

Break as in : expolde the diff, blow the lump apart, snap something important by going very fast into a high kerb, killing it with fire, snapping the farting strings out of it, or bending it in half round a big indifferent tree.

That kind of breaking it.
I know its hard, but it IS possible.

I know I'm trying my best not to break my GLT... at least not on purpose. But all that wet asphalt just begs for drifting. Oh yes, all that lovely one-wheel wheelspin.

Thats lush always like the saloon more than the hatch. 2" drop and a welder sound like a good idea :D

Yeah I noticed my inside wheelspin. Wasnt convinced about welding the diff up but sod it, its not a daily drive! Do want to lower it and a set of minilite 13'2 tho. think that would look rather nice.

Might borrow liams 14's actually... They wouldnt look that bad on it...
