A Valeo D910 is about 13 EUR. Don't know if it's built any better, but they would be the closest link to Ducellier.

I have good supply of quality rotor arms and caps for the 1.4

There are a couple of versions so would need to know exactly what ones he needs.

Well he's not on the internets, as far as I'm aware. Primary contact is via letter...all a bit VOC!

Thanks Dai, I'll let him know that when I'm next in touch...

cheers

Only just stumbled accross this post

I have 7 New Old stock Motaquip VRA188 Rotor Arms that are like the pictures in the link and listed on the Motaquip ecat for:
VOLVO 300 340 (1976->1991) 1.4 B14.4E Petrol, 8 Valves, 69 BHP
VOLVO 300 340 (1976->1991) 1.4 B14.4E Petrol, 8 Valves, 70 BHP
VOLVO 300 340 (1976->1991) 1.4 B14.4E Petrol, 8 Valves, 72 BHP
VOLVO 300 343 (1976->1991) 1.4 B14 Petrol, 8 Valves, 70 BHP
VOLVO 300 345 (1976->1991) 1.4 B14 Petrol, 8 Valves, 70 BHP
These are good quality motaquip items that have been in storage for 15+ years so not the newly manufactured rubbish. I would accept £10 for all 7 (shipped to a UK address)

I also have some Genuine Ducellier 49423 Rotor arms which are the older type with 3 pointy bits currently selling on ebay @£2.50 ea
listed for 66 340 343 345

Any advice/supply developments further to these posts?

I've just been getting the 1.7 340 ready for the MOT which runs out on Friday. The distributer cap was full of oil causing poor firing, so after a clean of the cap, rotor and plugs I expected a smoother engine BUT the rotor arm looks burnt away on one side. I assume the contacts on the cap are too. It's better but when revving the engine it feels like it's still not firing 100%.

It was a new cap and arm in 2010 and 8300 miles ago (I did give it a clean up at the start of last year). From reading this thread it looks like I've done well to get this far as it only started sounding poor a couple of hundred miles ago over winter. Also I've done a lot of caravan towing, so that 8300 miles is probably equivalent to more of normal driving maybe the same as 10,000?

The last cap and arm came from my usual motor shop, I'll try for the same again if this mileage is normal.

The GLS passed the MOT this morning so should be there at the BKV Sunday, just need to pay the highway robber, sorry I mean fork out for the tax disc. If/when the 340 passes I'll be there Saturday too.
