It's a PAS one Dai. If you have a PAS, do you have the rest of the column ;)

hi Dai, sorry havnt got back to u sooner, moneys abit tight at the moment so I cant really spend out on suspension, possibly over the summer perhaps.

If your still prepared to send me the UJ (I assume the UJ is the same on both PAS and non PAS columns) when could you get it to me by and how much as I'd imagine its fairly heavy.

hi, after searching eurocarparts they have a steering coupling listed, I googled it and its basically the UJ, but they only have one? so are you sure there difference (lol I'm sorry, I'm not doubting you as you've basically rebuilt your engine which far far exceeds my mechanical knowledge)

unfortunatly I cant link directly to the page as its created dynamically.

I think you want that rubber disk, sometimes called a steering dampner. It's kind of like a UJ, a very, very cheap one - which is why they always fail.

PAS UJ are a proper steel UJ but need a completely different shaft (I think).

The euro car parts "steering coupling" is probably what you need. Be worth talking to Volvo thoug, if there's only a couple of quid difference then I'd get the original part. Open the bonnet and have a look down your bulkhead on the drivers side and you should see a nasty looking rubber ring at the upper end of your steering column.

Mine is on it's way out too, although I can't feel it in the steering yet. Both my previous 360's had to have these replaced.

Buy the replacement new as second hand ones are ready to fail if they haven't already.

Yes, if it's the part Ronnie's talking about you may as well just go straight to your Volvo dealer. I replaced the one on my 360 GLS and it cost me about £12. Makes a huge difference to the feel of the steering. It can be a bit of a bugger to undo the nuts/bolts on the old one if it's twisting a lot.
