Ok....... take a guess as to my age!? And the majority of the others here........ Grandads are few and far between here sadly, (plus there is only one Grandad when it comes to Volvo's) everyone is welcome though on V3M.

Trampdrift, it's a 3 door GLT, come on......... just because you can't be bothered with it.......

Volvo tax doesn't exist... they're not that popular yet! Besides all the drifters want 3 door 1.7's anyway

thats true i cant be bothered with it. too many little niggles and i simply havent got the time to sort any of them out!

but also because it looks crap and it not really the sort of car to pull birds in and i cant afford to run two cars atm. trying to get a new full time job for the summer and maybe then i might be able to afford to run 2 cars.

if the car doesnt sell (dont want anything below £310 as thats what its cost me so far) then i might have to keep it for a 'long term' project.

edit: wahey 500th post!

Good luck on £310 if it looks crap, it's possible to get, but the person to buy it can't be looking aroung ;) Does it have tax and ticket?

Very rarely will you get back what you paid out on a car, especially a 300. It just doesn't work like that most of the time, thing is, you can't loose that much money with them, I think (hope) all the money I've spent in total is still less than driving a new car off the forecourt, but I know I won't get what I spent back. Added to that is the fact I've had a collective 60-65k out of them, even if they are in better condition now!

Yeah, well said Chris. THat's one of the reasons I'm now gonna keep my other 360. After paying to have the welding done, even at cheaper rates, I was never going the get that cost alone back, let alone anything else.

I've not looked at the collective total of this weekend for parts, tools and messing around, and it's not over yet, just ordered parts for the Volvo Stealership to collect later. Let's put it this way, not much change from £600 I reckon. However, at least I'll know it's been done, and been done properly. However if I sold the car, I'd never get a fraction of that back. New tyres, rebuilt struts, load levelling rear shocks ton name but a few, all the other replaced items etc. I doubt you'll get that for a car you've not done anything much to and shows it is in need of attention. The only thing you've got on your side is the rareish factor of it being a 3 door 360.

Will the person willing to pay £300+ for a rough looking 300 know of it being marginally rare? If someone knows it's rare, they'll know it's easy to get one in better nick for less than that.

After 4 years and 3 300s, I'm only about £300 down (-£150 on resale at the end of T&T, probably about the same on bits)

Well I'm confident to say that Fioner is in better condition than your car AMR and I didn't get much interest in it at £300. Although saying that, for some reason I've suddenly got a couple of people interested this week (dunno why haven't updated any ads for ages), but we'll see what happens. 300s are notoriously hard to sell, but of course you could be lucky and the right person will come along with a wad of cash burning a hole in his pocket!

And you have to rely on your car for pulling women? IME the only time a car impresses a women is if they're a 14 year old chav with numerous STDs or a bimbo airhead, neither of which I'd touch with a 10ft barge pole :)

lol. its not about pulling the women, but theyre not exactly gona want to sit in the car with you are they? they'd feel pretty embarassed to sit in that crap looking thing. if i was a woman i wouldnt go near the damn thing!

i only bought the car because i wanted rwd without the stupidly high insurance. but now i know someone who can sort me out with ridiculously cheap insurance (what im using atm) ON ANY CAR, so i can now afford an e30, which is what i wanted in the first place.

oh btw - some geezer in leeds wants the car for £350 so sm52

That's good, but someone wanting it and paying the cash are 2 completely different things!

For example, I assume that means you wont want my B230 lump now?
