Took my wings off as they are crusty at the bottom and found them to be a bit more than crusty and where they bolt to the inner at h there's not much left of it
So has anyone who has repaired these before made any templates?

Horrible, complicated, I cut from another car and patched up. Use the wing to position new metal.

I was thinking I might do that but then I've got to find a scrap car local that doesn't have the same problem.

I could probably find one to cut off but personally I would rather fabricate from scratch

Yeah I'd rather fabricate it myself too tbh.
Does anybody know where that sells zintec? I've removed the paint off my sills just then and found a few holes so the whole length of the outer sill needs replacing with repairs needed on the inner sill.

Zintec?? First I had heard of it but a google search suggests this its galvanised steel. Hmmm, there's an old Ford round here with door skins made of that stuff and the paint is peeling off it like a garage door!!
1988 340 1.4 GL, 218k, 5 door (Grey Bess). Gone to CBA.
1991 340 1.7 GL, 64k, 5 door, petrol blue (Deep Blue).
1988 360 2.0 GLE, 140k, 5 door, ocean blue metallic (Blue Bess).
1989 340 1.7 GL, 108k, 3 door (Red Ness).

i reckon i can, aye. im staying back at work tomorrow to finally fit my fresh suspension (wouldve done it today but for some strange reason the locking wheel nut key found its way out of the glovebox into my kitchen... thank god i havent blown a tyre in the last few weeks!) so itll probably have to wait til the weekend
annoyingly the shell is in a garage too narrow to open the doors far enough to remove the wings, if i could they'd be off by now and id have a clearer shot
