Just a random thought after seeing the question in general/technical, does anyone have a 3.82:1 diff that they want rid of as I quite fancy sticking one on the 360 whilst I swap over the de-dion.

yup, one of the most common diffs. Chris just told me that I should have corrected kaos but tbh I was too lazy as I know what I want, and in this thread thats what matters

well ina early 80's 340 its a 3.9?.? 4.1 i think
then its the 3.82 then
86ish onwards its the 3.64.1 which i have in my M45.


my diffff is share in the 1.7 and a 360.( not to sure on the 360) but i saw all the information for the second time on monday as the breaker i use is a volvo specialist hence where i got my diff info and have written on my notebook along witht he code for what i need if i break it.

theres the difference then - you have an M45 4speed, m45's were 3.91 up to '82 then 3.82 in '82 and '83 and then 3.64 iirc

The M47R 5speed only came with a 3.82:1 diff

Basically you want the diff from any 5 speed 1.4!!!! lol
