Mine got chipped on the way to work this morning, anyone tried these magic Autoglass chip fixing things? If not, anyone got a breaker I can grab one from? No major hurry, but would be nice to know there is one somewhere!

I've just had a blokey turn up at work, after reading some Autoglass reviews I wasn't convinced I wanted them to do it, so got a chap who only does repairs, not replacements and repairs.

I have grabbed some phone pics before hand, and will grab some proper ones after so can have a look. He said he'll tidy up the scratches on the screen whilst he's there too, so fingers crossed.

Wow, the chap has done an epic job. He said that because I'd only driven 10 miles and not used my windscreen squirters it couldn't really have been any better set up for him, I'll post pictures later. He's also gone over the inside and outside of my screen with the super polish stuff he uses, and charged me 40quid for the lot (one thing my epic insurance doesn't have is glass cover, as it's considered a nadgers risky on rally cars ), which I think is pretty damn awesome considering the guy came to my workplace for me.

He did also say that insurance glass cover is getting rarer now, and seems to think all excesses will be pretty huge shortly.

Epic. I have a couple of bits like that (one on the 360, one on the '81 343). Did they disappear, or just get 'stopped'?

I've got dubious phone cam pics, but will try and get good cam pic. If you get it done pronto, then it becomes *very* difficult to see, I have to search for mine. Considering it was in total 15mm+ across and cracked both laminates, I was hugely impressed.
