I have recently acquired a spare ignition module for a 1989 340(1397cc)but would like to confirm its correct.
There was a previous post showing a diagram of the numbers foe the 360.
the numbers on my spare are Siemens, 204948, S101920402A on the side metal casting and 4291 in white letters on the coil.
I have a horrible feeling its from a 440 !

1.4engine ignition module (again!)
Erm, the only numbers I can get from my Volvo green book say that the ignition unit you need for a late B14.4E is a 412. If, reading the long number correct you've got a 402, then that COULD be for the earlier B14.4E, that was tuned for 4Star. The ignition timing seems to be the same, apart from the later one also has a plug C connected setting that retards the timing. Goodness only knows what 'plug C' does!
