If your not going to use a third party for the transaction, then i'd suggest setting up a temporary account unless your exceptionally organised financially so you dont get money mixed up.

I'd also edit your 1st post to include the list of ppl definately ordering, you know whos where and can update it easily. (at the current moment i'm definately getting a set).

I wen't to bank and took loan for this, so I'm up to my neck with ordering now ;)

I do have one account that I seldomly use, then I have another that I use rather often, so I have good base here ;)

I will ask also if Wielhoven could send shocks straight to each other as cargo will cost a lot when sending to Finland and back to england.

I will get in touch with my new plan if I get green light ;)

I heard now that price is only for front shocks, I think that I misunderstand from first reply that set would be all four shocks, very sorry about that :(

So it is not as sweet as it sounded, I understand well if someone feels like that it would be too expensive.

Who are still in?

Ouch.. £170 for front shocks.. that'll be me out, can't afford to spend that much I'm afraid. :(

Likewise. At that price I'd rather get Bilsteins to fit - I've heard some less than perfect things about the lifespan of Konis on heavy cars.

cheers

Yupz... this would end up just as expensive as my custom built suspension would be... and that includes the springs... :?
I am pretty happy with the current shock's on my car...

It looks now that there is not very big chance to get 12 needed buyers. I will keep this open if there is still interested.

What about from Bilsteins? Is there some other car's model that fits with slightly modding?

Here is rear shock info from mail from Wielhoven:
The rear dampers which we use in the Volvo Cup, are number 80-1781 or 80-1781 Sport. Same dampers, only the Sport is stiffer, which means quicker on the track but more tricky on the rear ( rebound is a bit slow). These dampers are available at your local Koni importer or dealer.

Maybe someone can find that info useful.

hi everyone,
is it possible to fit shocks onto the rear, i thought 300's had leaf springs which would make it a diy bodge to get them on or pay a fair amount to get it properly fitted  .

thanks

Springs and shocks are two different things - conventional suspension requires both. Uprating the shocks on a 300 is dead easy - just find something that fits. Changing the springs is the PITA, as they're virtually unique.
