Took a while until I did gasped what that geordie was all about, my initial impression was that geordi like below:

But it sounds like there are quite large differences in local ways of speak in your country, that must have had some big effect in mobility of workforce during history, when in earlier days there was only limited number of people that could afford education of standard language.
Even here there are also different dialects, differences have not been too great.
Be proud of your dialects and keep them alive, those are things which can disappear too easily.
