440 Boss fit in 340?

I have got a 440 steering boss, but it doesnt fit in my 340.
The horn ring is smaller in my boss, but I dont really care about that.
However the issue is the long bit in the boss, it seems to be too wide or thick to fit in my 340.

Anyone knows how to do with it?? Or 440 boss cant fit in 340?

Ken, are you talking about the Indicator Cancelation Tab that protrudes from the bottom of the Boss?

Dremmel it off.

Or if im off the mark, explain in greater detail, with pics if poss. and we'll see what we can do.

Yeah, the Indicator Cancelation Tab doesnt fit at all.
As you asy, I might dremel it off.

while youve got your dremmel out, migt as well grind out the centre appature of the volvo horn ring, and glue it on the end of the 400 boss.

Viola, fully functioning boss with ind canx and horny function.

Sorry, how can I glue the horn ring to the 440 boss?
Coz the horn ring in my volvo is larger than the boss's one.

Have a pic or so to demostrate?

Sorry Ken, my bad.
I thought you said you had a 205 boss.
which does need the horn ring enlarged.

Never seen it done with a 400 boss.
Think adam has (340glt)
but hes off the net atm.

If you search adams posts (340GLT) you should find it. If I remeber correctly he did post up pictures of what he did to make it fit.
