Hi, a friend of mine mounted fog-lights on his Volvo 460 yesterday. On his car all the cables and stuff was ready, and he also had a fog-light switch inside his car. I believe i have a switch like that my self? (Volvo 360 GL, 87 mod. 2 litres.)
Anyone ho knows if the cables is ready for mounting on my car too? And if i could use the switch inside my car? And do i have to remove the bumper to mount the lights?
Thanks.

there is no wiring as default in a 360. yuo need to get a switch, coil and lights from somewhere then wire them up yourself. if you have the foglight cut-outs on the 360 then you shoudlnt have to remove the bumper
Do you mean the fogs in the front valance, or on the bumper?
e.g.
Anything above the bumper (at least in this country) should be treated as a driving light, and only come on when your high beams are on.
Anything below the bumper, is treated as a fog lamp, and has to follow a set of rules as to when it can be used, and the leveling is more important.
As Hugh said, the wiring probably won't be there for either, but if you want the ones on the bumper, you won't need an extra switch (will need a relay for either though). If you need any more help, I've put them both on mine, so just shout.
Your 360 Gl is probably pre-wired, like mine. Somwhere near the battery must be a bunch of cables with nothing connected to it. Those are the wires for the fog-lights. I can explain how connect it all, but i have to look up a lot of english words to do it the right way. I'll try to get back on this

Yeah, that sounds good. There are no cables near the battery that isnt connected, so maybe it isnt pre-wired. Thanks. I`ll shout when i plan to buy those lights, cant use all mye money on stash, fuel is also needed

I'll see if i can shoot some pics of the fog-light wiring in my car tomorow.
I know the wires are pretty well hidden and tied up with tie wraps in some cars.
