Matt black drifter on Ebay

Post by Ian Mac » 22 Jun 2010 10:36 pm

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLVO-340-Satin-B ... 45f39d5063

Silly me, I thought it was illegal to fit a 2.0 engine but still keep it registered as a 1.4 to keep the insurance down. I think 'down' translates as 'void' so here's hoping its not me or mine he drifts into with his blowing exhaust and worn rear tyres. Joker...

On the flip side... re-register it as a 2.0 and you have a winner :)

I see he's re-worded the ad now so as not to include the 'still registered as a 1.4 so cheap insurance' line. Quite worrying though that people are still prepared to withold information from their insurers and risk having no cover in the event of being stopped or involved in an accident...

Yeah, he'll have swapped the lot over. That's what I did with my 343. That's still registered as a 1.4, but I've not bought tax for it since doing the swap, and my insurers know about it. I'll be sorting out the paperwork soon.

cheers
