some parts for turbo charging an engine

hello . i have a 1983 360 gle .... and i need some parts to make it into a turbo engine.
i need :
a exhaust manifold for turbo
an ecu for a engine b19et or b200et or b200ft
turbo injectors
and what parts you think it will help i don't know all the parts that i need .... maybe someone could help me with information ..... someone who has a turbo engine

Are you trying to convert the 360 engine? Its commonly known that its not worth doing this, you can't just convert an engine to turbo by adding a turbo, you are much better off taking a 700/900 turbo engine and putting that in.

If you want the engine management from a 700/900 you need non-dual mass flywheel from one of those cars, the 360 flywheel won't work with the ignition computer.

There are a number of threads on the conversion with a good list of parts and options. It will take a bit of reading.

so you say it is kind of impossible to convert a normal aspirated engine into a turbo engine if i can get the turbo ecu from b200ft and the exhaust and intake manifolds and the turbo injectors for start ?

i can't find any volvo turbo engines in my country ..... they are not so popular .....

what do you say ... can i make it turbo from normal or not ?

I have a complete cylinder head available with both manifolds and injectors on. I could strip the parts off for shipping but would probably not cost much more to ship complete.

I don't have the ecu but i'm sure someone will be able to help with that.

As Dia says its not impossible but does involve more Engineering. You firstly need a lower compression ratio which means a different head, then you need oil supply and return for the turbo (aswell as water cooling in some case), and maybe some breather changes. You also need other safety stuff, over pressure cut off and so on.

Unless you match the original Engine exactly (eg cam shaft, pistons, flywheel ignition pattern) you will also need a custom Engine management system, for which Megasquirt seems the standard choice.

Note that the later B230FTs are also stronger and have better adaption to the bigger power (eg from a 94 on 940). Do you not get any 940s in you country? Most of the later ones are turbo charged, the B230FKs don't have 'Turbo' on the back but are the same engine as the FT with a lower boost that you can change easily.
