60 miles out a full tank!

Post by mrsoundcraft »

Ive just managed to get 60 miles out a full tank of petrol. The last 2 tanks did just short of 200 miles.

I have re tuned my carb today and I think this may help a bit I think I have an occasional misfire too.

Although I had a spark issue during a really wet morning last week, which brought me to a halt. so Im wondering what sort of stuff I can do to service my renix unit?

60 miles is insane. If you've not got a running issue normally I'd seriously be looking into fuel leaks.

My 4wd 2L turbo charged car does better aswell, but its waiting for many new suspension parts to arrive. £65 FOR A TRACK ROD END!!!!! :x

Dont think its got a fuel leak, but I'll be checking when I next see it
Today I had to drive to work with my foot to the floor otherwise the car felt like the brakes were on, think it was a spark problem again. When I puled into a parking space at work the car stalled in neutral, and that was that. Ofcourse it was running fine again 10 minutes later.
Ive ultrasonicly :D cleaned my spark plugs and that might have helped, they were solid black before, so a small indication of how rich it was running.

Just did 248miles to a tank, filled up 36 litres which is about 31mpg for aggressive town driving and a one motorway run down to Southampton. I think they call that the average load test? :)
