You can get Toyo T1-R's for under £30 a corner IIRC... a couple of years ago these were the best bang for buck imo, not sure what's out there at the mo though

t1-R is different to proxies i think, but proxies are very good for your buck, id be getting a set if i could afford that. Your wheels 15" theo? they look bigger than that. definetly still on the look out for some 15" then.
Ye get proxies, grip well and a good value. Had the on my corsa.

Re: Kessy mk2 340, few little tweaks
T1-R's may be cheap for a 'branded' tyre, but they don't last well. Great for grip due to the soft compound but if you drive with vigour you'll soon wear a set out

Re: Kessy mk2 340, few little tweaks
Maybe on heavy cars yeah, but I did 15k on a set on my Mx5 and they still had plenty of life left in them, seeing as a 300 is similar weight but with less power I'd say they'd by similarV6 Man wrote:T1-R's may be cheap for a 'branded' tyre, but they don't last well. T1R's are great tyres on 300's!! Had a set on my grey one with the F7R and tyres lasted well.

Re: Kessy mk2 340, few little tweaks
I run 195/50 15 T1-R's too. Even autotesting/airfield days and rallying I see about 10,000 miles from a set.
Awesome for the price, just dont run them at stock pressures.

Re: Kessy mk2 340, few little tweaks
Depends on the surface and the day, but somewhere around 6-11 psi higher than stock depending on what the car feels like. On road I normally run the lower end of that.

Re: Kessy mk2 340, few little tweaks
interesting to note, I've never really put much thought into my tyre pressures, apart from making sure they are about 32 and 27. When mountain biking it makes a HUGE difference, should think about it for the car more....

For a moment there, I thought you said you run actually AT 6-11 psi...Chris_C wrote:Depends on the surface and the day, but somewhere around 6-11 psi higher than stock depending on what the car feels like. On road I normally run the lower end of that.

There has been one time I deliberately ran close to that
