Best OEM camshaft

Post by mrborrie » 21 Apr 2011 10:46 am

I'm unsure what cams the 360 came with from factory but what would be the best cam to pick from those.
They had to come with the 360 from factory though

I would say best of both worlds would be the A cam, fitted to standard B200E ie: all injected cars. Is a fairly hot cam, but is still fairly driveable from down low. What car have you got at the moment? Bear in mind it will alter the fuelling and ignition profiles required though, so you would then be into changing the fuel and ignition systems over too. Not that difficult a job though I guess.

Nope i have to stay "stock" for the Cup i'm driving so swapping ignition is not really a option. it has to be 360 from factory option.
Cannot use 200/900/700 cams that where never in the 360

You don't need to get the system from a 200/900/700. The A-cam was in the non-cat B200E 360 injection models from stock, but to run it properly you will need the entire fuel injection system from a 360, along with the correct Renix unit.

I got a 1986 injection 360 so it might be even in there already then..
