Thats exactly the advise id give to others but im not sure if this squeek is the it slipping. Spoke to my old boss, he said the bit was always high aswell. Id rather not do it just I'm not commuting if it atm so if its going to go seems a good time to replace it

Sorry to double post, but...

Some of you may be aware that my car didn't like start often requiring alot of throttle and also had a coolant leak, I saw these as two separate problems until I spoke to my old boss (an ever helpful guy) and he said "those things always had a sensitive coolant sensor" so replacing the rad stopped the coolant leak and it now starts first time with no throttle, bliss! It wouldn't start as there was little coolant, once up and running with coolant pumped round the car was happier :)

I thought I'd mention this as i'd never heard anyone mention it before, could well be helpful for others. I had forget to mention it during the previous posts.

Gah! I hate it when that happens. I got a massive gash in my sidewall of one of my tyres back in Jan, sods law was that was the good tyre, the other one had a huge bulge part of the tread, just never gave in. Why couldn't the one that was wrong in the first place go? RARGH!

Anyway, hope you get it sorted soon.

Ahh it might have just been a layer of old wax come off. Give it some polish and should be good as new.
