If all else fails, brand new from Volvo is only about £10. I terminally bust my old one trying to remove it after wrecking it by not putting the torque tube in straight. Love the special tool :)

Pilot bearing for a 940 with an M46 transmission...or order against your 360's number plate. It's exactly the same part.

They will get very huffy about you wanting 360 bits say computer says no, then need chassis numbers and so on then have to get out microfiche machine, the 940 might be on the computer.

They should be fine with it, as it uses the 940 part number. It was probably a 240 part first! VADIS lists 300s, and I think VIDA does too, so they should be able to find it.

Correct - they're the same part. The only exception is that a 940 with an M90 (i.e. your donor) has a different part, which isn't a bearing at all. You may need to remove this from the engine in the car.

As far as I'm aware, any B200 or B230 with an M45, M46 or M47 transmission (including a 360) will have the right bearing. The one I ordered a couple of years ago was roughly £10 (try FRF in Swansea, quoting VOC forum membership, if your local dealer seems expensive) and I remember at the time that VADIS reported an identical part number for the 360 as for a 940 with an M46/47 box.

got the bearing this morning, fitted it, fitted the lump back in the car, plumed it all back in, started and drove it thanks to the help of a mate, the alternator isnt charging for some reason (any ideas?) and the battery is to small imo, runs okish when on the jump leads but when you take the leads off it starts spluttering and kinda missing etc but im 99%sure its down to not haveing enough power to the fule pump and probs other things, will do a propa update tomorrow

I am here at the right time - maybe.

My alt was the same, I hadn't connected the voltage regulator (spade wire). You got that sorted?
You got the rev counter working btw?
