Flywheel Sensor

Post by Attack2001 »

Hi all, im full of questions lately :D My 1700 seems to be missing the sensor for the flywheel that bolts to the bell housing. Will i simply be able to use the one off my 1400 instead? That also leads me on to. I have the 1400 (obviously) with a renix (its a 1984 model) but not the extra fuel cut off thing. Will all my ignition be suitable to run the 1700/F7R (when i get around to it) Or do i need to hunt down a different ignition set-up? Thanks once again :D Thomas..................

Flywheel sensor the same. Part number is different, but the only difference is lead length.

No, don't run an F7R on a 1.4 renix. It'd be like breaking Usain Bolt's legs after you paid for him to run for you.

It'll run certainly, but the fuel economy will be worse than it should be so I'll doubt it'll be a saving :(

There are two 1.7 renix's, pre and post unleaded so to speak. Choice between them is pretty much yours, you get another 2 or 4 degrees max advance on the early one but have to use it with super, more economies with the late.
