Just about to complete a botch of a wire in for my new radio, but I don't know where two wires should go...
Auto Antenna B(+) (fused)
Memory Backup
and I have one spare wire from my how my old stereo is wired up... it doesnt say what it is, but has a picture of a star/sun (like a brightness symbol on computers)
Any Ideas?
Cheers, Simon
radio wires
the ariel should just plug in (standard socket).
i would say memory should go to whatever wire is *always* live (regardless of ignition)

The Auto Antenna B(+) (fused) Wire is probably for the motor to make the aerial go up/down when you turn the radio on, not the actual socketed Radio Frequency connection. So unless you have a motorised aerial, leave it disconnected.
I agree with 5lab for the Memory Backup wire.
A complete guess, but the Sun/Star could be for the backlight on the radio display (i.e. the radio lights up when you connect this wire to 12v). If you are feeling brave and try it (don't blame me if it goes wrong!) and I'm right, then I'd splice it into the wiring for the clock/lighter backlight.
Cheers,

Thanks for confirming that...
I tried it yesterday without antenna connected, and the power side works and it plays cd/radio fine - just a little dodgy speaker connection going on!
...maybe due to botch job wiring available to see at...

Will work on it sometime in the week.
