Idling and revs

Post by Vart » 13 Jun 2005 08:18 pm

what should typical 1.4's idle at? mine was doing it about about 1100 rpm which i thought was quite high. also is it possible for a picture of which bolt to tighten to stop the car choking on idle (this was mentioned on another post but it couldn't find anthing....)

900 +/- 50

800 +/- 50 on yer vario

if it passed an mot (surprising if it revs high), you should be ok on 1100, it'll just waste a bit of fuel

if you want to adjust the carb, get a haynes - it has all the pictures in
