*Gauging Interest* Volvo 340 Drift/Road Car F7R Conversion

Post by stu113 » 14 Oct 2012 12:59 pm

I bought this as a project to use for college but have changed my mind to do a different smaller project. I have put MOT & Tax on the car just last week. It passed with only issues being washer fluid, number plate bulb fell out holder, Headlight adjustment and he said he would like the exhaust to be toned down a tad.. so i fitted a silencer. No other issues!!
Mileage is 80K odd, not been able to check atm.

It has been stripped out inside and i had started the full interior repaint. The drivers seat has been lowered by removing the standard subframe mount and a new one created on the floor. Comes with 1 Corbeau bucket and one leather rover seat. Dished OMP steering wheel with OMP horn, with reinforced indicator stalk(common fault with these snapping). Dash still in perfect condition. Did come with a radio but was not faulty so i removed the wiring harness that was fitted and planned to re wire my own in as a sub project. Does have the Mutant 6x9 behind seats still.

Engine..
It has the Renault 2.0 F7R Engine fitted that is almost straight swap for a 1.7, being this a 1.4 some conversion was needed from the 1.7 engine assembly.
It is still registered as a 1.4 but this was no issue for me as i was going to have it off the road at college then drift it, but not happening. The conversion was done well as i had taken it to a Volvo 300 specialist who does the conversions himself and is well known with these.
Has 5 speed box that i believe came from a 1.7 340.. Has 4 branch manifold leading onto a 2.5" custom exhaust.

Body..
Was rattle can painted Army Green before hand by previous owners so this was sanded right back and was repainted white. This was only done in the last month!! So very fresh.
The bumpers are very easily removed to be painted but i havnt got the time to do this now. Has been de-wipered professionally by welding a plate over the hole and smoothed it in.

Lowered on blocks and landrover shocks. Weller 13" alloys with good tyres. Also have the standard alloys with good tyres these are skid tyres to be fair.

Have a spare diff and bellhousing. Spare front hubs with shocks and springs calipers and discs..

Let me know if interested and throw your offers about and i could be tempted to sell up :)

Deff worth £13,999 ;) Rules are rules..

Prov Sold..

That looks nice mate.
The FS rules say you need a price (everyone loves rules) so might be worth putting on one. Even if its £40,000 or nearest offer.

GLWTS man.

ahh yes remember now there was also a grey one again lol.
Yeahh i was at brands that weekend.
Urmm well there is alot that can be done but nothing needs to be done..
Wire tuck, relocate battery, cage and braces? Paint bumpers(i could do this for you with Professional spray gun), Flocked dash, Wheel refurb?
There is endless opportunities with these..
