So, on a whim, I bought a low spec, large engined middle-managment luxobarge. With a slushbox.
85k with a FSH. Rust on the front arches, needs new front pads and disks.
Cheaper than a good B14 and with similar MPgs.
3.2 strainght six, pumping out 25Mpg if youre carefulls. Driftz if you boot it!
Problem 1) Its in Aberdeen. Which is nearly as far up as you can go without getting wet.
Problem 2) Im working flat out untill after Xmas. I need a hero.
Solution to both Problem 1) AND Problem 2) is L1AMNP. Or Awesome Liam, as hes more generally refered to.
After a few phone calls, some internet clicking and some transfering of money that I didnt really have, the train journey north and drive back was arranged (for Liam)
I hope its nice weather. And that the headlights work. And that the brakes work!
Er.......
And so, in the some of the worst rain/floods/fog seen in Northern England and Scotland for a good few years, brave Liam set off on a semi-epic ten hour round trip. The train was late and only ever got later. It deposited him in wet Jockland close to sunset. Oh, and he had to drive back in the dark. With no headlights and very little in the way of brakes.

He made it though, bless him. With no complaint or swearing.
Sick of reading?
Heres some pics then.
My new and much loved cat.
Seen here in its natural habitat. Loitering near a watering hole, taking shelter between two larger beasts, and being fettled by a hi vizzed human.
Neither wet weather nor high winds trouble it greatly.

I love it. More than any other car Ive driven. Its amazing. Not as a "Drivers" car obviously, but the build quality, comfort, sense of wellbeing it instills in me is lovely.
I treated it to a couple of H4s today, as it was night-blind. Now great for night drivings!
New front pads and disc need to go on.
After that I intend to leave it alone.
Then many years of enjoyment......... Hopefully.
