200-series rusts just as easily as 300-series. At least in here. 700-series then is more durable though first models seem to be kinda rusted in here too. -86 and above are usually not rusted at all. (Galvanized)
BTW that's not even a bad rust yet.. Cheap and easy to get welded. (Though I don't know if there's so many repair shops in there which are just specialised in fixing rust problems and welding etc.. as there are in here ) Our GL needed whole new bottom for that place where the spare tire goes. I lifted the tire and there wasn't much left. I guess the spare tire would have fallen off soon... Left fender needed some welding too and side skirts needed some welding few years ago.. Well it is in bad shape even in Finnish scale but turbo is nice and nobody would pay much for it so as long as the engine works fine as it does now we'll keep it.. GLT luckily have no severe rust damage. Just two or three spots which need some sanding. Base of the car is fine.

I think that 850 is galvanized too.. 700-series is fully galvanized (except the roof and above window line) from -86 and above and so is 900-series so it would be weird if 850 wouldn't be I have no facts about 850 though but later 700-series models are galvanized.

Ofcourse i can, i am planning to do so if i'll buy my 343DL in here, but i can't register it. Only cars after 2000 can be registred in here. From the one i can bring from Germany i can use the spar parts and put them on my registred 343. But i can't change the engine or something, cose i got to go again to do the MOT, wich again will cost some 20-30E.
Yes, it's the stupidest rule ever, but we got to do all that European Union is saying and we got to reduce pollution. But nobody thinks that inside the country are cars oldr and worse that we could bring from the west....

And why can't you change the engine? You can change the engine number... It's a bit of a pest but it is possible...
LOOOL....But i would have to buy a car identical with my 343DL, cose in the registration book of the car is written the colour, the model, etc, so when the police stops me and asks for the papers it wouldn't be good for me....straight to jail...
I can chang the engine, ofcourse, but every year i have to do the MOT, where they check all the series, all the types, all the numbers, etc. Ofcourse, becouse i live in RO, i can give 30E and never go with the car to run the tests...i just recive the OK But i am a honest person...
