Problems with window wiring
Nah, cos I was hoping this really useful book was going to turn out to be a Volvo 'Fix you car at home series', that was super common, and that I'd just been in a black hole, and not that it was a 'green book' *scary sound effect* that cannot be found for love, just lots of money!

There's still something not ok with the mirror. The wires that come from the loom have the following colors: white-brown, black, brown, white-black and white.
In the upper picture from the manual it says that pin 4 of the switch should be connected to a black-red wire that comes from fuse 9. It's the same wire as the live feed for the power windows.
I can't get the mirror to work properly on all the signals of the switch. I've tried to make the wiring ok but already blew up the fuse by doing that. So something is still wrong.
If i try to give the mirror live feed from the black-red wire it should work(havn't done it yet). But what happens with the black-white wire that comes from the loom?? That's unused when i follow the sceme that Adam gave in this topic.
Does anyone know how this can be solved?

Right, I may have some helpful info for you with regards to the mirrors. Just taken a picture, of the inside of the door, passenger side UK, which would be your drivers side there. The wires are as follows, white brown line to grey white line, black to grey black line, brown black line to yellow with white line, white to grey, and brown to brown. What a clever idea Volvo, we'll put different coloured wires to meet up on a plug! But it sounds like you have different coloured wires to me! So it may or may not help you. Anyway, pics included.

Hi Pete, thanks for the pics. I presume that all electric ones are also heated? On my car there are 5 wires coming out of the end of the loom. I'm starting to think that i mxed some wires up with the heating although i assembled it according to the Volvo maunal. But that can explain that i blew up the fuse.
But anyway, does someone else have a clue about this??
