How to connect the seat heaters?

Post by Galkjeks »

Hello! just found out that my seat heaters is THERE, but it isn't connected to the battery. I think its grounded too.. but my question is:

How do i connect the heaters? I found a couple of buttons at the car wreck place.. Where is the + on the seat elements? Do i have take of the seats to find it, or can i connect them to the seats without any modifications? Is it already connected to some..hmm..you know those little Ampere switches.. who brakes if its too much Ampere?

Cheers!

Hi! There are connections under your seats.Check them first. If those wires were ok and seats wont still warm up (heaters wont work) then there might be heater wires broken inside your seat. Then you`ll have to take off seat fabric and test that heater element does it work properly.
If it doesnt, you´ll just have to throw that old one in to the dumpster and buy a new one :D ...or you have to try repair it someway

ok..look under your seat and if you any cables laying there, check them. I´m 100% sure that if you have heated seats, you have electric cables under your seat. Test those cables is there coming any power. My friend restored once his 340 heated seats. He took off the seat fabric and welded some cables in that heatingelement. Next option is that you have to replace heatingelement.
You can mount cables without removing seats from your car... :)
