Ah, I see, that's interesting to know. Makes sense now! You're right about the waxing, I washed the car on Saturday, before the UK meet, it was warm enough to wax the bonnet, then it started getting cold, so had to leave it. Once all the salt and grit has gone from the roads it'll get a proper wash and wax.

I’ve just found some pictures of my first 340. This is a bit over-exposed, but you can still see the outrageous levels of neglect to which she was subjected!
Washing was an annual occurrence, whilst servicing took place once every year or two.
The near-side was more photogenic. The rear wheel arch was made out of aluminium gauze and filler, whilst the back door had a very large dent in it. Poor old girl.
Nice pics, the top one is a good composition, often people feel the subject needs to be dead central, that works well! Oh to have a nice large, not too abrasive surface to play on!

I love this car as its in such mint original condition, with only 65k on the clock. Its so tight and quiet to drive!!!!
