Anyone Fitted 17inch alloys to a 360 Saloon?
As topic title?
Anyone got any experiences of this , they are ET35 with 205/40r17 tyres..
I plan to stiffen and lower the suspension too at some point.

Yeah you can fit 17"s in the arches, looks a bit OTT though. Black_360_GLT did this on his 360, I think longer studs were needed in the hubs though to mount the wheels. I also think they might've scrubbed on full lock. 40mm profile tyres too? Ouch... that wont atall be comfy.
The max I'd go is 16" and avoid all these problems, and imo it'll look better.

I was about to say if you've already got them then slap them on and see what it looks like, no harm in trying, just pop one on and check the clearance, it'll be riding real high though and i've got no idea how low you'll then be able to go without rolling the arches. They are a bit over the top if the cars going to be a drift/track car but then again the offset and width are right so mayaswell try, make sure you take pics

Make sure the centre bore is the same size (or get adaptors made), or you'll have fun centring them.
The 40 isn't 40mm Steve you prog-rock loving prat! It's 40% of the width. 40% of 205mm = 82mm...much more like it
That might make your speedo read a little low though, I think the correct profile with a 205 17" is 35.
35 offset is just fine. Stock is 40mm IIRC. I think Al had to run longer bolts because he had (greater? brain isn't working) offset rims and spacers. Could be wrong on that, it's a long time ago.

Right, when I fitted the rims I needed 5mm spacers on the front as the rims didnt clear the shocks properly, then I had arch rubbing when steering and also when going over the slightest bumps. If you want to fit 17s you will have to butcher your arches.
They fit fine on the back though. Plenty of room and no rubbage.
They did make the car handle pants. 16s are a much better compromise and dont make the ride as harsh as Steve has already mentioned.
IMO the 16 inch rims I have on the car now look better than the 17s I fitted ages ago.
Just slapping 17s on a 300 does not really get you anywhere in the handling department.
Cheers,
Al

Good plan, imo 15"s look spot on for 300s... try www.mytyres.co.uk for some good tyres, luckily 195/50/15s are one of the cheapeste sizes
