Right as the front is near enough done i decided to start a new thread (Mainly to show off my new shocks but hey!!!)
These are what i will use on the rear of the car for now they are Spax CSX fully adjustable coilovers. They are 28 point adjustable on the rebound and allow me to think ahead as they are coilovers too!! The top mount i specified will allow a direct mount to the body, whereas the lower mount is an eyelet as the length is slightly shorter than standard shocks, so with the eyelet i can make a bracket for the chassis to compensate this!!
I will soon be fitting lowering blocks and shortening the tramp bar to allow a larger drop on the back.
The shocks will be fitted purely as dampers for now on a harder setting.
Cheers Adam
Be carefull mate, I have koni adjustables on mine, and even on the softest setting, they are too hard for a 340, it makes it drive like its on ice when its wet, great for drifting tho, It also ruins the 300's good traction, at least it does if you have enough grunt to break traction in the first place
Yeh i have been playing around with the settings just now and i think i will do what spax recomend which is fully soften then harden 4 clicks!!!
I let you know the B14 can and will break traction as a when it feels like it!!!!
Cheers Adam
Yep started off on 7 to let them bed in - now they are on 14 which seems spot on. Do bear in mind I have much more rear end weight so about 10-12 may well be hard enough for you after bedding in.
Cheers Mate they wont be going on till a week or so so i can do exhaust lowering blocks, tramp bar and spax all in one go!!!
What do you about dust covers on your dampers mate?
Cheers Adam
Very Nice and yes Very New!!!! And even better than that very cheap!!!!!
Autosport show did a special on trade days!!! RRP is £99.99 + vat so £117.50 each!!! Show price £70 each!! Bargain!!
Cheers Adam
Hi Guys, The coilovers look great. Is there a part number for these? Is anybody using a similar coilover shock? The back end of my 360GLT looks like a dog wiping it's bum now that I've renewed the front shocks. Would be good to correct this and also stiffen the rear end. Cheers, Dusty.
