Oh how true! I gave up defending my choice of car a long time ago, I know wny I have it, and why I like Volvo 300's, I'm not a follower of trends etc and like to be different, I don't care what anyone else thinks. I'm actually with Steve and MJ, it's nice having an unnoticed car, that as Steve said, people normally think it's the 1.4 anf it's FWD, hmmm, how wrong they are. They often start getting interested if you can be bothered to correct them and say, no, it's actually a RWD 2.0 fuel injected car with more toys as standard than your car got when you started ticking the options list and emptying your wallet!alistairolsen wrote:Dont bother trying to educate people, we only get so many breaths on this earth and im not wasting mine on deaf ears.
However, to gain them some respect from an article showcasing some of the projects would be good. There will always be the people who won't take any notice, who just cannot get over the image that goes with the Volvo name. At the end of the day, we know the reasons, the secret is sadly well and truly out about the 300, and there are some people noticing this and crossing that stereotypical image barrier to make the most of what the cars have to offer.
