Nice job, congrats ! :D

Hmm, my passenger seat seems to be very good, while my driver's seat seem to be very bad to sit. Bucket seat would be one to choose if I can find one in that price :)

I'd really say its definately worth the effort of making one fit, if there was one modification i'd make to a 300 that would be it. For me it really improves the driving position just being a bit lower, feels really un-natural going back to normal seats now, makes the steering wheel feel like its between my legs! Next step is getting a steering boss extender to bring the wheel closer to me, then i'll be really happy with the driving position,
cheers

there are cheaper options as well ,
you can pick a cheap local set of seats from any car (as long as the width is fine)
and make custom mounts to be secured to the original volvo 340 runners .
i have done this on a renault 9 ,now i got a full set of r19 16v seats on her.

you dont need any welding at all
all i used was a drill ,some metal drill heads and metal bars,a hacksaw and various bolts nuts .
its like playing with legos ,here are some pictures of the work
ayee ,i do like pictures

tried this on the passenger side first as i still need to drive the car if i cock up

Image

was not the easiest of the jobs ,see the r9 seat and r19 16v seat together ,note that i have to use the r9 runner which is narrower.otherwise i need to drill holes on my floor ,not safe !!

Image

there is the custom frame i made and bolted on to the r9 runner

passenger side in

and the drivers seat , i love them

Very good sitting it is possible to take out from OPEL CALIBRA with good rigid lateral support regular sports sitting and still they can develop. And at the price of 60 EURO for two sitting. I to Myself such shall put. 8)

Yeah I havent done any welding on mine either. Just try to get hold of a seat with runners already on it. Mine came with runners for a mini which were too narrow for where the volvo one bolts down. Just get two thick plates of metal, one across the front of the frame and one at the back, then bolt the runners to the plate and then the plate to the mounting points on the car. Just taken my subframe off the Cobra seats I already had in the car and to my amazement they fit straight onto the new seat. Although they are both Cobra the ones that were already in must be about 15years old and a different style so really didn't expect them to fit. Now just trying to get the last bolt in securing it into the car! Pics soon

Well its finally in, bit lower seating position than the old bucket so a lot lower than the normal seat, also more upright, feels like a good driving position but haven't been out for a spin yet, can also see in the pics the 5th harness slot works well to let the sound through :D
Also thought it'd be rude not to make use of the old seat

Yeah the seat is bloody comfy, feels weird sitting in a full back height office chair but damn good :D
My old seats came out of a mini and so were a bit small on me (about half way up the back of my head) and i'm not exactly tall! Found that i've been slouching in them a lot to get me a bit lower and getting back ache on longer journeys. The new ones are just a bit better in general, full steel back instead of tubular construction, the base also has very little padding which puts me probably another 10cm lower than the old bucket. Basically there isn't a lot of difference but I fancied a change lol, it also means that my harness fits better as on the old seat due to it being so small the harness slots were below my shoulder so tended to pull me down in the seat.
cheers
