Hmm, that pic of mesiftofeles gave me crazy idea.
Simracers (yes, I'm one of those) sometimes build cockpit where they can drive, now size of 300 serie dasboard and centre console seem to be quite good to my desk, only would need drivers side + center part and that would fit.
Now some sims, LFS for example have support to output data to real car instruments, for speedo of course some motor and controller need to be aquired and also some controller for other needles too, but it would be possible to get working dash, LFS even has blinkers and I do have software that can make joystic to act as gearstick.
Would be great to have such system
Shame (or luck?) that I have already too many projects going on, I really can't start anymore right now.

Have you seen the new logiteh wheel (not released yet). It is supposed to have a clutch pedal, and it has a gearstick in a centre console.

This was first time I see that, looks like that Logitech is going to steal Act-Lab's marketMJ wrote:Have you seen the new logiteh wheel (not released yet). It is supposed to have a clutch pedal, and it has a gearstick in a centre console.

Price mentioned on page, only 299USD, of course it is bit lot of money, but there is no cheper alternative for those features so I think it will be next big seller
From this board you can spot quite special equipment, of course when board is not having a hiccup

This also would be nice, just put Volvo chassis with interior on top of that and you should have quite nice immersion of being there

I've seen flight sim guys do mock cockpits, didn't know there was the option for driving games too! I'm half way there, I drive my computer games from a 360 GLT seat
Electronics isn't an issue, I should be able to build most of it, problem is the speedo, unless you hacked an electronic 440 one in, ours is cable driven
