How many different bodystyles are there for 300's?

Post by V6 Man »

Excluding prototypes and one off specials I can think of 13 different versions of the 300 series body;

Mk1 3dr large bumpers
Mk1 5dr large bumpers
Mk1 3dr small bumpers
Mk1 5dr small bumpers
Mk2 3dr with quaterlights
Mk2 5dr with quaterlights
Mk2 3dr without quaterlights
Mk2 4dr without quaterlights
Mk2 5dr without quaterlights
Mk3 3dr
Mk3 4dr
Mk3 5dr
Mk2 Van

Any others? Was the van mk3 only?

Edited to show van as Mk2 only.

There's also the "mk3 post Hugh" edition, which has extensive front-end modifications.

Amazingly I have one of those editions just outside my garage - it is quite an easy edition to create

It's a van in about the loosest sense of the word, but it'd be cool to see one!

cheers

there was one for sale in holland about half a year ago.

had a lot of kilometertjes on it and was generally knackered.

diesel, that one. rare too, even in non-van versions.
but, as i said; knackered...

I would say same reason as people used an escort/astra van, but at least they are usually the estate version, so load height is low!
