MOT pass!

Post by D4V2K1 »

Just got my new MOT today, went ok apart from needing an anti-roll bar link arm and a sidelight bulb. Luckily i had a new pair of the link arms in the boot! :P
Picked up a few things on the advisory tho, both front seatbelts fluffing/fraying (good job they didn't see the ones i took out last month), wear in the steering rack and tyre close to limits.

Overall i'm happy as it only cost me £88 and i've had a lot worse in the past. So here's to another year of 300ing along 8)

Nice one! ARB link's are notorious for failing MOT's on 360s - thats 4 cars now that I know of that have recently needed ARB links for the MOT!

and i can't think of any 300 MOT that didn't throw up steering wheel play as an advisory either

Mine haven't ever had an advisory on it, although one of them actually failed on the rack play. :D

The manual steering racks appear to be relatively sloppy from new.

Mine is going to need loads of work for this year's test :(

cheers

Mine neither (in eight years)!

I did have a new steering rack fitted once though as it was becoming too scary to drive...
