 Now why does that not surprise me!? The first recommendations after Nessy was running again that weekend in Devon that Andy and myself went down were,
"Mechanically speaking, there's not too much to sort out now, but James, you do need to change that hose ASAP, before it bursts on you, I'd recommend changing before driving it anywhere as its pretty swollen and soft." Along with all fluids need changing etc!

Yeah, he changed the hose.....but I also told him to flush out the cooling system, and change the oil and filter........:? And yeah your JBwelding thing seemed to be fine Hugh, its probably rusted through somewhere else :)

Ahhh, I think you're thinking about a different hose. This is the hose going to the carb baseplate, considering it was p*ss*ng out water as soon as the car was switched on and was swollen to double its size because of the engine oil that had leaked all over it.......anyway, it got changed before it blew up :)

One of the copper hose attachment has definitely been stuck on using some sort of chemical metal / JB Weld product, but it seems to hold AOK.

I can't find any glue at the moment, but that doesn't mean there wasn't some at some point in the past!

cheers
