I never had that on my amiga... looks like its worth a play! Give or take, I come from one of the southest places that exist, so everywhere is north to me ;) Dekay is from the middle, but has as much of a northish chip on his shoulder as I have a southernish chip on mine!

I claim that its all down to area, these northeners often forget how wide we are at the bottom, England is around as wide along the south coast as it is tall, if not a tad more so, where as you could spit between east and west northland ;)

You cheeky sod!

As the crow flies I'm 105 miles from the scottish border (as the crow flies) and 200 miles from the south coast (atcf) so that's definately more north than middle!

Hey, I'm from the north!
Newark = south of crewe

south of crewe = midlands

midlands = down south

:P
Nope, it's much simpler than that.

Newark = north of the Watford gap

north of the Watford Gap = oop North

although I do know one person who considers anything north of Basingstoke to be the North...

NO,

you have all got it wrong ,

It is common knowledge that

Milton Keynes is the very Northern edge of civilization ,

thats why all the illegal immigrants get dropped off at Newport Pagnell services ,

any further North and they might as well have stayed amongst the crime , food shortages , undrinkable water ,poverty, in fighting (and inbreeding ) they are trying to escape from lol

How do you have the nerve to use the words 'Milton Keynes' and 'civilisation' in the same sentence?? sm75

Ah, you can play original from browser now it seems:
http://www.cinemaware.com/browser/dotc/final.asp

Here is also images available for Amiga, C64 and others, just need to register
http://www.cinemaware.com/clsgame_dotc.asp

Amiga version has much better music than browser version at least ;)

I believe northern Finland is bit odd term too, as you see commonly it is said that city of Oulu is at North even that is quite near middle when you measure it from map.
Must be because those ppl living at south as most ppl live at west and south coast areas in here, where I live is already considered wilderness by ppl of south and when you go to North of Oulu there is not much settlement at all :P

Anyway if we drove line from Vaasa to Kotka, everything below is quite dense settlement while above is this rare settlement and difference is so big that sometimes I think there should be even different traffic rules :lol:

Well this map helps you get what I'm talking about, you can see that there is not many roads up there ;)

Great days! How well I remember a friend showing me DOTC on his A500 back in the late '80s. How many disks did it come on? Was it 8? Certainly a lot of swapping!

It was F/A-18 Interceptor that sold the Amiga to me. Great platform in it's day. Wish I still had mine :cry:

Then again, I can run a dozen Amiga emulators on my laptop and still have clock cycles to spare. Just wish there was an easy way to read the old diskettes.

Hehe, I'm agreeing with Nick and Mick ;) Basingstoke is north ;)

As for amiga stuff, I've got a lead I hacked together a little while ago, so that I can copy amiga disks to the pc (I think it was just a null modem cable to be honest, can't remember what software though).

I've still got my A1200, I learnt to not have fear of modding computers with that, not many that were running 4gig hard drives and SCSI cd drives... (ok, I'll stop being geek like now!)

WinUAE is great, I find colonto's aiab (Amiga in a box) to be a superb piece of software to go with it, includes magicicons or whatever it was called, makes it a pleasure to use. WinUAE has never got the sound emulated properly for my liking though, but 1280x1024 workbench is great ;)

Gavin, anything specific you want? I might be able to help out if its a rare you want copied (maybe.. I'll have to get back on the island and set it up, but would be fun to play, theres a game I can't find anywhere I want done anyway)

I did say no to her, but what can you do when here is more those social care ppl than those who can actually think with their brains, Conan O Brian show has made few Finland specials I believe, he finds our president quite amusing, wonder why :lol:

Oh yes, we got some EU thing this year, I'm sure there is soon lot to fix, lol.
