Someone has just posted the following on the bikemagic forum. I know there are some rally drivers here, so wondered if anyone could advise?
"Hi all,
Figured some one on here may be into rally driving and able to help.
Want to book the girlfriend some rally car drving time for her birthday, have a few questions:
1. Is there any way I can do it directly, not through one of these experience days middle men?
2. Where in Yorkshire can you do it? So far I've found a few details about it in Dalby forest.
3. If I have to go through an experience days type company who would you recommend?
Anyone able to help?"
Rallying
Don't know much about places in Yorkshire, but I can make some observations based on experience. They won't need to go thorugh an experience company, any decent rally school will let you book directly, and saves having someone else take their cut. It's best to look through the brochures etc to se how much car-time they give, particularly if considering a half day course, they often look cheaper but have so little time in the car that it's hardly worth it. And if possible, talk to other people who have ben to the same school, they will be able to give you a much better idea of what it's like than promotional literature.
