It's going back a couple of pages on this topic, but congratulations to redline for lifting the beast info and text directly from my website without a credit

http://www.superjohn.f9.co.uk/thebeast.htm

The "I" who checked the DVLA computer was me, not redline.

Anyway I don't mind the plagur, plaguri, er copying because I put the info out there to be used and enjoyed.

Have fun!

Having just looked through what john was reffering too I noticed the post about the 27litre SD1. I've kinda been fascinated by this since I saw it in the flesh at Goodwood a few months ago (and was standing next to it whilst it started up - wow!). Well it's just been MoT'd so is now road legal.

Should do 186mph @ 2500rpm, and has apparently been tested to 2000rpm. I make that ~150mph

To super john I apologise

sorry John ,

I just copied and pasted what I found for the guys to enjoy,

certainly didnt intend for it to be taken as my work .

most of the guys here were still in nappies or tucked up in the womb when the beast was around.

being an old fart I remember the car fondly and the controversy it caused , to me John Dodd was a god amongst modders
did you ever find out what happenned to the beast ?
