Have just picked up a set of cheap and cheerful Fixed back bucket seats.
Not the most high quality items i have to say but will do the job and fit within my ' on a budget ' ethos for the drift project.
The seats currently have Capri subframes on them and i was kind of hoping I could modify them by drilling extra holes to fit the volvo but they are not wide enough...
Has anyone bought subframes for theirs if so how much were they and where from.........
I want to avoid having to buy subframes as will bump up ££ so
I was thinking that it might be possible to mount these to the origional volvo seat base with a bit of bodging and someone who is handy with a welder but obviously safety is fairly important when mounting the seats.

Cool thats kind of what i was thinking....... the only thing is that the capri subframes already seem to be quite high when i lined the seat up in the car, adding extra metal underneath is gonna make it even higher.
What bits of metal did you use ali , or did you cut them especially?

I used some really thin stainless steel plate, was a b*stard to cut though! Mine's a bit too thin really as its got a little bit of flex in it. Like 2mm or 3mm thick steel plate should do it i'd think and then your only adding 2mm to the height of the seat
