Hello,

Does anybody know (dont have a .. how do you call that thing to see your RPM? .. here wo do call that toerenteller

) much RPM my 1.4 engine from 1987 does in his 2nd gear (4 gears total) @ 85km/h

and 185km/h in 4?

power curve drops right off at a certain point, car just won't go quicker..

i always found top speed was in 5th - managed to get 5,500 rpm in 5th out of a 340 a couple of times

its either called a tachometer (or tacho) or a rev counter!

My B14 car barely wants to rev beyond 6500rpm, but it is probably down on compression (too lazy to measure it

)

My car had a compressiontest 2 weeks ago, the compression was still enough and every cylinder had quite the same compression very happy with that
