CD radio

Post by Bilbo »

got rid of the old volvo 3001 lw/mw cassette today ! i kept it though

a few problems getting it to fit right tho:
1. the facia adaptor wont go home all the way. should i have fitted this first then slid cd in as i tried to slide it all in at once.....it seems very very tight and i didnt want to break it
2. i took the Z shaped steadys off the old 1 and wedged them in on the top. should i have put 1 top/1 bottom? they were both on the top before.

cant upload any photos as my stupid ftp isnt working, hope someone knows what i am on about. it works fine and i didnt use the harness adaptor as someone had scotch locked it in the past,so i have it spare if anyone needs one at 1/2 price[£2.50 +p&p]

you mean the metal cage? (thing that holds radio in place) if so there are plastic legs at the end of radio housing they need to come out or it wont slide in

The cage must go in before the radio!! it will be hard to get in but once in and plastic legs out of the back of housing the radio its self slides strate in.

not sure if this helps or if understandable

But worked for me
EDITE ohh damn its the big radio? mw lw?
Cheers
will
