We had a laugh, and it was a shame you couldn't make it, but not to worry

80mph isn't anything too much to worry about. I'd not take it far over 100 (on the private test track, officer), but anything up to that should be fine.

NB to add fuel additive to that car!

I did the london (bit further to epsom) yesterday in my 440 TD.

515 miles on £30 of diesel

£30 thats nothing!!!

i did about £55 i think but that was about 400 / 420 miles so its not bad at all.

it was south london i was heading for and i had to stop in the middle of brum to pick someone up.
so im happy with the fuel bill.

and dont worry i have got the fuel additive in WAY before the trip down south and am still using it now.

That is in fact only a "panel kit" for Mk1's / early Mk2's. I wonder if it's possible to fit a modern radio underneath?

would be difficult unless the dials matched in some way?

but i would like that on the volvo

period clothing.

i have a radio in my BMW but i dont want to take it out as i do want it back on the road asap.

i may have to just put an old stereo in the car with a live wier to the battery

my mates loved the 343

just found out what a 8 track is and it sounds great but difficult for music.

i would love it but i cant find a arial wire in the car and i dont have any 8 tracks......

I think even your Volvo is a little too new for 8-track

BTW I had to look it up too ... In a few years' time, we'll be trying to remember what audio cassette tapes were.

yeah i think mine is tooooo young for the 8 track but i loved having a tape player in my bmw so a tape player in the volvo would be sweet!

also i have loads of cool tapes
