Ok... maybe this is throwing a spanner into the works, but how about a combined meet with this?

Could be fun...

That's going to be expensive a fortnight before chirstmas, I don't think I'll be able to do that!

If you wish to join us in Newport on 16th December, you're all more than welcome. Karting at £34, followed by a mini meet and meal. I do however need numbers pretty quick, as the karting centre is quite popular.

hi Niloc

woudl you be the chap from South West Volvos who also posted on the VOC?

We have some interest from VOC people, C30 people but no replies from the 480- club. post has only been up a day though...

South west volvo have 18 people coming to their meet in Newport form their postings on thier site

Ahem, South WALES Volvos!!!

Yes, I am the organiser of this event. If interested, I need to know asap cos if the numbers for karting change by more than 8, I need to rearrange with Supakart.

sorry... I was rushing when I wrote that... south wales makes far more sense for a meet in the north west than south west volvos... that would be much further

Im up for the peaks or karting...

how about...... we either merge the meet with the one on the 16th or we have two meets :) and invite the above mentioned clubs to both. some people will come to one, some to the other, some to both :)

I must admit, I'd prefer karting, seeing as it's closer for me, and on the date I want ;)

I'd love to do the peaks at some point, especially that place Steve pointed out, but would prolly have to make a weekend of it, which I'm not organising now!

May actually be best to stick to the original plan of the Peak District, since getting confirmed numbers quickly may be difficult, and the members that have expressed an interest so far are North/Midlands based.

However, either meet idea sounds good to me.

im with the fellow 343 owner.

i think a meet for me that close to xmas that far away is going to be difficult.

dont wanna sound soft but its too far for one day with go-karts and food.

but i would do karts up this way :D i held the lap record at teesside karting for a while last summer so bring on some karts! i just aint driving 4 hours to do it.

I'll be lucky to make the peaks in 4 I'd imagine :( But then it looks this time like I'm the only southerner keen

Those interested in the Newport one, let me know...
http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... php?t=5470

We have monthly meets in South Wales, and hopefully next year more events (paintball, clay pigeon)

Now I'm registered here, I can keep you posted.

The trouble is, most people have expressed an interest in the Peaks being the 16th already.

Realistically, in a short time frame it will be difficult to get numbers and deposits for Karting in time for the South Wales Volvo meet organiser. Although I dare say Chris would be interested ;)

The future events sound fun, I'm pretty sure a lot of us would be keen on joint meets in the future! Definitely keep us posted on these kind of meets :D
