The 340's without any trim level badges always tend to look odd and too far to the right, but from comparing the photo of original placing they seem fine. I've seen some that are miles out, there was a car on Ebay not long ago that just looked wrong, couldn't figure out why for a second or two, then spotted how differently placed the badges were, I can't imagine it was a Friday night job from new, but more of a bodyshop repair without an eye for detail or remembering where they were orginally placed. Andy had a similar problem when the wings were worked on by his bodyshop, they did an excellent job, except sticking the badges on in the wrong place!

That trendy 'catalyser' badge is definitely original as my Grandad had the car from it being 11 months old.
Will definitely have to get them re-positioned, things like that do my head in

wow excellent info mac? would that be from the "body" section of the green books? or a crash repair/painting section? havent seen those diagrams before. the body section in the ones I have tends to be how to remove doors and panels etc
