idle adjustments b200k

Post by pyro »

hi there folks long time no see!

on my 360 the idle is too low and i never got round to sorting it out till this aft in a sort of bored moment...

problem being is a cant find the adjustment thingy
the heinz manual says its under the idle solenoid thingy (the cylinder with a wire comign out of it) but its not...

any ideas? ill grab pics in the light tomorrow, not that i dont have a light or anything im just lazy...

cheers folks

ben

Hi,

iirc it depends on whether the car is pre or post '86 on my 89 you use the throttle stop screw on the carb to adjust the idle speed. It is easy to find in the haynes manual, shame I am nowhere near my car or I could take a photo for you.

I will try and hunt a pic down

Ben's is roughly the same age as your's Jason, so a pic would be useful ;) How you doing Ben? Rest of the car going ok?

still trying to find a pic from somewhere as I dont have either the volvo or a 360 haynes about, but I will try and describe where it is from what I remember.

If you stand on the right hand side of the car (RHD I take it) and look at the carb there should be a biggish screw (flat head) on the upper right hand side of the carb, it protrudes from the actual body of the carb not anything else.

If you can take a photo of the carb from that side I can draw an arrow if you'd like.

Sorry I can't be more helpful

If it is the same as mine then there should be a bigish flathead screw roughly where that shadow is under the lip.
